Job Summary

The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily construction activities at the AU Project Site to ensure that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily site construction activities and ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Participate in site coordination meetings and implement agreed action plans.

  • Resolve technical issues affecting construction progress.

  • Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings before execution.

  • Identify discrepancies, conflicts, and constructability issues.

  • Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with approved specifications and QA/QC procedures.

  • Conduct routine inspections of construction works

  • Monitor daily and weekly construction progress against approved schedules.

  • Identify delays and recommend corrective actions.

  • Measure completed work and verify quantities.

  • Assist in preparing work progress certificates

  • Ensure contractors comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.

  • Conduct routine safety inspections.

  • Monitor delivery and usage of construction materials.

  • Verify materials against approved specifications.

  • Maintain site diaries, inspection records, and technical documentation.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the Project Manager.

  • Attend technical meetings and site inspections.

  • Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Management (COTM), or a related field.

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant construction experience.

  • Proven experience in the construction of high-rise building projects.

  • Experience in supervising multidisciplinary construction activities.

  • Experience coordinating Architectural, Structural, and MEP works.
