Senior Procurement Officer

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise procurement activities in accordance with organizational policies and procedures

  • Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management

  • Ensure procurement processes comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable laws

  • Review purchase requisitions and ensure proper specifications and approvals

  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues

  • Prepare and analyze procurement reports, budgets, and cost-saving initiatives

  • Mentor and supervise junior procurement staff

  • Coordinate with finance, warehouse, and user departments to ensure timely delivery

  • Participate in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and contract award processes

  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum of 6 years relevant procurement experience, preferably in a senior role

  • Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, contract management, and supplier negotiation

  • Experience with ERP or procurement systems is an advantage
