Job Purpose
To operate forklifts safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, lifting, moving, and stacking materials, products, and goods within the warehouse, coffee processing facility, and other designated work areas while ensuring proper material handling, workplace safety, and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, transport, and stack goods, materials, and products.
- Load and unload trucks and other transport vehicles according to operational requirements.
- Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage, loss, or contamination.
- Inspect the forklift before and after operation to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Report mechanical faults, damage, and safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain proper stacking and storage of materials in accordance with warehouse procedures.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and comply with all forklift operating rules.
- Maintain accurate records of forklift operations, material movements, and equipment inspection where required.
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, logistics, and dispatch teams to support smooth operations.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualification
- Completion of Grade 12.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant forklift operating experience is preferred.
- Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, coffee processing, or logistics operations is an advantage.
- Valid forklift operating license.
